"Failure isn't a percentage on a test. It's not a single event. It's a process." - John C. Maxwell
Talking with Joel Ferguson on my 8 hour drive back to NC led me to the topic of the weaknesses in my attitude and belief that hinder my willingness and ability to jump into most tasks ahead of me that I am responsible for the success of - I'm terrified of failing and letting others down. Terrified to the point of paralysis, seeming laziness and complete avoidance of the tasks at hand. I have weaknesses that make simple tasks daunting to attempt to complete, but how much of that is my attitude and how much is my reality.
So this book I mentioned... What is it?
Failing Forward by John C. Maxwell.
Already (I'm not even done with Chapter 1) I feel encouraged. I think it's because of Maxwell lays out very clearly the reality of failure and it helps me ealize that success isn't a passing test grade but rather the process of overcoming the moments in which you would have failed if you gave up.
