Two things spurred me to make this commitment. The first was a lesson that I learned at Premier's National Rally this July: be intentional. When you are intentional with your actions or even intentionally aware of your inaction, you have much more control over what gets done and what does not. This means things don't just happen in a moment but over a period of time and you can actually see where you are headed long before you get a wake up call to your business' reality.
The second thing which sat me down this morning for about an hour and a half before I ever tackled any of my other tasks for today was a quote from a Premier training on Monday night. "Those who lead are always readers, but those who read are not always leaders." I did not write down who said the quote (you can probably google it if you are really curious). But it still left me with the reminder that if I want to lead my team well, then I need to make sure that I am reading and being intentional about what I read and how I digest what I read.
So here I am, back at the blog sharing with you what I've learned and challenging myself to do so regularly.
