It's amazing. You want something and yet hours - days or months - later you find you haven't done what is necessary to get that dream.
And it doesn't make sense. Why aren't you chasing what you want?
My pastor J.D. Had an idea... You don't want it enough. You don't need it enough.
I'll even go as far to say that you haven't hit your breaking point yet.
It's the same reason an addict ends up back on the streets or with a bottle in his/her hand. It's the same reason the abused end up in the same relationship.
You were comfortable. Not happy but comfortable. You knew the rules. You understood the name of the game. You knew the things you were afraid of before but it's scarier if you don't know what you need to be scared of.
And so you end up where you were before. Same place.
Same spot on the couch.
Same hole you dug yourself into.
Believe it or not, you are back where you WANT to be.
It's the truth. Until you face it, you won't change. You won't chase that dream or really consider giving up your selfish desires for the worthwhile dream you aren't sure if you'll ever succeed of grasping.
Let go of the fear.
The people around you that are succeeding, those people are the ones that know that the biggest thing to be afraid of is staying. Right. Where. You. Are. Today.
